Strawberry picking season is here again in Japan!
Tanakaen is a family-run strawberry farm in Funabashi, Chiba, with easy access from Tokyo and Narita Airport.
We offer a 40-minute all-you-can-eat ichigo-gari (Japanese strawberry picking) experience where you can taste multiple premium varieties.
Online reservation is recommended to secure your spot.
Walk-ins are accepted only if space is available.

- Weekends & Holidays: 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM
*Afternoon entry on weekends and holidays may depend on the strawberry conditions.*

We operate on a session-based system. Please be sure to arrive on time for your reserved session.

▪️Strawberry Varieties▪️

We grow more than 10 varieties, including:
Kaorino, Beni Hoppe, Akihime, Koi Minori, Oi-C Berry, Shinku-no-Misuzu, Hoshi Urara, Amaekubo, Star Night, Toyonoka, and White Fairy (a rare white strawberry).
*Varieties available for tasting may vary depending on the growing season.*

※ You must agree to the Terms of Use in order to make a reservation. Please read them carefully and follow the rules for strawberry picking.

※ Please wear comfortable shoes for walking as there are uneven surfaces in the greenhouses.
※ Please let us know as soon as possible if you cancel or change the number of people after making a reservation.

※ If you arrive after the reserved time without informing us on the day of your visit, we may refuse your reservation.

※ Please note that we may ask you to reschedule your visit because strawberry production is affected by weather conditions.
※ Please wear clothes that can be adjusted to the temperature in the greenhouses.

※ If your child is unable to behave himself/herself, a parent or guardian, regardless of age, should accompany the child and enjoy strawberry picking together.
